Two Grand Slammers
Congratulations to our first Grand Slam winners of the 2010 Spring Session: Bill VanBuren and Greg Dukelow! In just a few short weeks Bill and Greg both managed to get an 8 break & run, a 9 break & run, an 8 on the break and a 9 on the break during the Spring Session.Greg now has 10 Grand Slams and is once again tied with Justin Logan for the most Grand Slams earned by any player. Both players share the title "Grand Master Slam." Bill – our only "Triple Slam" winner – now has 9 Grand Slams under his belt. Will we soon have THREE Grand Master Slams? Keep watching the stats to see who's in the running. "No Name" Gets Big Turnout
Players said goodbye to the 2009 Fall session and ushered in the 2010 Spring session by participating in the "No Name" tournament held on January 23 at Stix Billiards on St. Pete Beach.Fifty players (25 teams) with combined skill levels ranging from 4 to a maximum skill level of 11 were in attendance for this double-elimination Scotch Doubles 9-ball event. Our 1st-place winners were Daryl Dillon and John Durham. The teammates earned $160 for their outstanding performance. Way to go, guys! Second-place honors and $100 went to Tony Longo and Glen Tishuk.
